Proof of Delivery

Proof of Delivery (POD) records who took possession of a shipment when it was handed over. For reverse pickups this is captured at the point of pickup.

What the API returns

Post a list of AWB numbers and you get back a map keyed by AWB. Each entry carries four fields:

The response carries recipient details only. For the time of handover, use the order's status history in the tracking response.

When no POD is returned

An AWB maps to an empty object {} in two different situations:

• The order is older than 185 days. POD is not served beyond that window.
• The order has not reached a delivered status — delivered, rts_delivered, or rto_delivered.

The response does not tell you which. Check the order's status through tracking before concluding that POD was never captured.

One exception: if your request contains exactly one AWB and that order is not in a delivered status, you get 400 {"message": "Incorrect Status"} instead of an empty object. The same order inside a larger batch returns {} at 200. Handle both.

Absent values come back as the string "None"

recipient_name, recipient_contact, and recipient_signature are always strings. When a value was never captured you get the four-character string "None", not JSON null and not an empty string. A check like if (pod.recipient_signature) will pass on a signature that does not exist, so compare against "None" explicitly.

Request limits

Send at most 100 AWB numbers per call. Every AWB must belong to the calling client and must exist. If the number of matched orders does not equal the number of AWBs you sent, the whole request fails with 400 {"message": "AWB does not belong to this client"}. An unknown AWB, or a duplicate entry in your list, produces that same message.
